Coyote encounter - Tucson hike. I heard coyotes yipping around the bend and about a 1/4 mile later, while standing in the wash, this coyote ran right past me and stopped. I'm taking the photo(s) with my close-range lens (18mm to 55mm) so it was really close. It just stood there until I clicked a shot off, then looked my way. I got several more off before it finally saw me and took off into the desert. A very cool encounter!
